Hey guys.
My internet isn't working too well, so I won't be posting for about a week :(
I'll return all your comments when I get back.

DIM! (Did It Myself!)
Hey everyone!
It's been really hot lately and I've been aching for some new shorts.
So, I looked in my closet for some denim that I could mangle - and found some hideous beaded capri pants that my mom's friend gave me last year. Inspired, I turned them into shorts! Not the most original idea, I admit, but the beads give them a bit of flair. :) I've also cut another pair of pants into bermudas and they frayed beautifully in the wash, but I want to distress them some more before I wear them out.
T-shirt dress: Le Chateau
Shorts: made by me! (original pants from who knows where)
Sunglasses: Le Chateau
Also, I have to say, I usually think Amy Winehouse's clothing choices are absolutely hideous, but in a recent show she turned up in this:
Picture: PerezHilton.com
... and I love it!
Honestly, I would snatch this dress up in a second.
The pairing of the two animal prints is genius, and grey and yellow mix so well!
Great job Winehouse stylists!

Beach Bum
I live in a lakefront property, so I was out swimming all day!
Here's the outfit:
Top: Vintage, my mom's from Mexico
Halter bikini (under top): Joe Fresh Style
Beach bag: gift
Sunglasses: Le Chateau
Yes the bag is empty :P These were taken before I went out.
The best deal of this outfit was definitely the bathing suit - $12 per piece! You can't beat that. Joe Fresh is a great place for cheap swimsuits, especially if they're going to get ruined in chlorine pools. Did you know it was created by Joseph Mimran, the man behind Club Monaco? That's pretty cool.

Happy Canada Day!
Well, to my fellow Canadians anyway! :)
Here's some inspiration for some patriotic outfits.
And to my non-Canadian readers, red and white are always stylish. ;)
L-R: Chanel, CNC Costume National, Jean Paul Gaultier, Lacoste
I love the second dress, and the black high-rise shorts! Absolutely wonderful.
L-R: Anna Sui, Moschino Cheap and Chic, Jason Wu, Carolina Herrera
Again, love the second dress.
Everyone have a great celebration!

The Way of the Wayfarers
So, the other day, I got some wayfarer-style sunglasses for the very low price of $3! The dollar store can actually be very convenient. I like the printed rims myself :P
Here's a photo, sorry for the dodgy face :|
Wayfarer-inspired sunnies: The Great Canadian Dollar Store
Also, I know I'm lacking in outfit posts, so here's what I wore today to go to my boyfriend's house - not very exciting. Sorry for the blur.
Plaid shorts: Eclipse maybe? I can't remember, I bought them a year ago.
White tank: Wal-Mart
Black tank: Eclipse
Grey cardigan: Bluenotes
Key necklace: Bijou
Bag: gift! :)
Jeweled sandals (not pictured): Wal-Mart
Here's the debut of my new high-rise navy blue shorts, love them! They're so comfy and chic. I wore this outfit to a ghost tour in the city the other night with a friend of mine. It was incredibly cool! We walked around downtown and listened to a tour guide tell us stories about places and buildings he pointed out, and we went out for dinner in town before the tour. I wish I could have worn tights with this, but mine were ripped, and I'm not really a fan of that trend right now. Oh well. It was too warm out anyway.
High-rise shorts: Joe Fresh Style
White tank: Wal-Mart (I did NOT wear that yellow bra underneath haha)
Gray cardigan: Bluenotes
Locket pendant/chain: Sirens
Bag: gift!
Pointed flats (not pictured): Suzy Shier
What do you guys think of them? More the second than the first.
What was my best deal in these outfits? Probably the necklaces - I wish I had better pictures of them - because they were only about $1 each.
(I'd also like you to know that I never wear my hair like this! I had it up when I took these pictures to show you guys haha, it usually looks slightly better)
Also, since I often talk about my boyfriend on this blog, I thought I'd show you guys a picture of him (actually us together). He's a sweetheart.
Top: Nordstrom
Jacket: Dance Zone track jacket
Anyway, I'm off to return some comments! Have a lovely day!

The Perfect Beach Outfit
Hey folks!
So today was my last day of exams! I'm done for summer!
And in celebration, I began to use polyvore... to show you my perfect beach ensemble.
What do you think?! I quite like it. I wish I had some money right now to get an outfit like this, since summer is here already. Again with animal prints, I know! But how can you not love that? I don't know if I'm a fan of the blue ties though, I think it kind of cheapens the look. And you're probably sick of gladiators just from this one blog... but they're just so versatile and popular right now that I can't help myself! Sorry everyone. Also, I just love the idea of a men's shirt for a cover up - it's so cute, comfy and effortless.
I also made another, just because I really love gladiators, and because I love them with sack dresses. These were my favorite 3 and the shoes I would wear with them. I love love love the third dress, I think the pattern is the greatest (plus I have with a very similiar print):
Let me know what you think of those two. The yellow gladiators are really neat, I just had to use them.
Ugh, I wish I had taken a picture of my outfit today (I loved it ), but I had and exam and went to my boyfriend's and then out to dinner. The flash on my camera is broken and the other is MIA, so it just wasn't possible :( Maybe I'll put it back on in the morning and show you, haha. A description, you ask? Well, I wore a funky printed dress with the previously featured scarf, black footless tights - I know I know! Terrible! My footed ones are gouging with holes, and I can't find thick ones anymore because it's summer - my new wayfarer-style sunglasses, a faux-snakeskin bag and a zebra patterned tote for my schoolbooks. Thoughts? I really have to get you guys a picture.
Last thing: thanks for all your comments and suggestions! :) I'd really love to make this a popular blog that interests a variety of readers, so if there's anything you would like to see more of (or at least a beginning of), let me know!

First Outfit Post!
Hey lovelys!
So, I realized that you haven't ever seen me, or the way I dress.
Therefore, welcome to the very first outfit post of your blogstress, Sinead.
This is what I wore to the movies (to see Sex & The City!) last weekend. It's pretty casual, and I pretty much just wanted an excuse to wear that scarf - I think it's darnright amazing. I'm trying my best not to throw it on everytime I leave the house, but with its versatile texture and pattern I just can't help it :(
Scarf: vintage, my mom's
Tank top: Tattoo, beater style
Cardigan: Bluenotes
Jeans: Stitches perhaps? They're a few years old (distressed and flared).
Shoes: Joe Fresh Style (It's kind of cool that I mentioned red flats in my last post - this is my take on them! Sooo comfy!).
And, just to spice things up a bit, I'm going to add something a little different to my outfit posts; the best bargain/cheapest piece I got in the outfit. So, for this one, I believe the cheapest item was my shoes - only $6! As weird as it sounds, you really can find everything at the Superstore.
Now, here's a question for you, my newfound readers: What are your suggestions for this blog? What have you liked/not liked so far? Do you have any other questions or comments to share with me?
Also, if anyone wants to exchange links, I'm all for it! Let me know!

Some Faves!
Hey everyone!
After a lazy day of lounging around with the boyfriend, in a not-so-spectacular outfit, I felt compelled to share and critique some of my fave products (and a few trends) for you. Test them out!
1) Method Bloq Body Lotion in Water Flower (the white bottle - er, block)
I love this because I can feel good about using it. It provides lots of moisturization due to being olive oil enriched, plus it's 98% naturally derived with no parabens - can you beat that? Also, it's not greasy at all. I just wish they could fit more into that cool container! But I guess for about $4, I can deal with getting some more.
2) Surf Hair, Garnier Fructis
This product is nothing short of amazing. Just scrunch a little in damp hair and voila, instant beach waves! It honestly looks like you just stepped off the beach. The only thing I don't like is the texture it has on your hair, it's a little weird.
3) Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss (Tube)
This lip gloss is so yummy! I have about ... 6? They're all I use now. They come in so many flavors and colors that you don't really need any other kind. Also, they're not bulky, so they can fit in any pocket of your bag. They're also a good price, about $7 I think. The only thing I dislike is how I spend all my money on these addicting lippies!
4) Red Flats
Pointed, round-toe, squash heel, I don't care - red flats can make any outfit pop. I love them paired with slightly mismatched colors, like yellow or purple. Watch out for green - Christmas Tree is not the look you want to go for (I'd also love to give a shout-out to moccasins here, they are just the sweetest and most comfortable things, I love mine!).
5) Animal Prints
(Shown here: a Kate Spade Stevie bag) I won't lie - I used to think leopard print was so trashy and, well, the opposite of all things fashionable. But within the past year or so, I have seen so many leopard-print pieces stealthily make their way into my closet, mainly in the form of bags; totes, purses, clutches... I just can't seem to get enough. I'm currently on the hunt for a larger sack style for next year. I also love animal-inspired shoes, and even tees and sweaters! Am I a lost fashion cause? I hope not, because I could not bear to part with these bold prints. Other prints I love: zebra, tiger, cow.

Do I really have to put away...
All my lovely scarves?
I love scarves, I really do. They're my ultimate go-to accessory when I need a little boost to my outfit, or when I feel like covering up some cleavage. They go wonderful with almost everything I own. With summer weater approaching, does it really mean I have to give them up?
I hope not. In Style suggests this: linen, lightweight scarfs. I've already bought 2 and plan to add to this collection ASAP. Although my family still makes fun and tells me there's no longer snow on the ground, I'll certainly continue to sport my scarves.

Rompers, Rompers, Rompers
Oh boy, I am just not buring into the romper thing :(
Is it just because I haven't found them with straps yet? Is it because they remind me of past childhood fashion mishaps? I'm not sure what the reason is, but I just can't get myself to wear them.
What do you think of rompers? Have you been caught in one yet?

I'm Glad for Gladiators
Ah, sweet summer.
I'm so glad it's finally starting!
Here in Canada, our crappy weather has just begun to clear up.
I can't wait to whip out some denim cut-offs, flowing white tops and a the newest addition to this season's shoe styles... gladiators!
Shown here on Mary-Kate Olsen, Mischa Barton and Kate Hudson.
As sported by many celeb fashionistas, these sandals are really making a splash onto our summer essentiels list! I can't wait to pick up a pair (or ten).
